Monograf

Photo of Monograf MONOGRAF Salon x Monogramma ( *Knippel) Breeders Sweepstakes Nominated Sire.

*Salon and *Monogramma were both bred at the Tersk breeding farm in Russia. *Salon was sold, under protest from the Tersk farm, to a German breeder, where he was used as a Dressage and Grand Prix Jumper in the European show circuit. *Salon was bred less than a dozen times during the nine years he stayed in Europe; his breeding career started when he was imported to the United States. *Monogramma was a foundation-racing mare at the Terek breeding farm. Her 1500-meter time still stands in Europe. She had her last foal at age thirty and was still in retirement at age 34. *Salon was bred four times to *Monogramma producing three fillies and one colt. The colt, Monograf, was born in 1984, the year *Salon died. Monograf is a half brother to *Muscat, and is an elegant and powerful stallion. Monograf stands 15 hands; he throws his strong bone and muscle structure. Monograf's dominant genes correct leg and hip faults. His babies have pretty heads and huge eyes, long necks and legs; his foals are 15 hands or greater. Monograf babies are gentle in disposition and quick to learn. Monograf is broke in English, Western and Dressage.
